Really informative article! However, you missed one of my favorites, the Creek Golf Club in Spartanburg. A public course, but a nice one at that. With some challenging holes, it keeps you on your toes (or should I say, keeps you on your swing?).
Had the privilege to play at The Preserve at Verdae last summer; the landscape is stunning and the course was quite a challenge. Indeed, the nature integration with rivers and streams made the round more exciting and enjoyable. Hats off to William Byrd for such a thoughtful design!
